Pastor Ivelisse is a native of Puerto Rico. She is fully multilingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Ivelisse has a Bachelors of Arts in Human Development from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, and a Masters in Divinity from Drew University - School of Theology, in Madison, New Jersey.
Pastor Ivelisse comes from a ministerial family. Having been exposed to ministry, and mission work since a very early age has been a gift to her as it it allows her to be able to connect with people of all ages, races, and cultures. Pastor Ivelisse believes that in order to be an effective minister, one must be able to connect with people, and be transparent in their living. Connecting with our fellow human is important as it allows us to act out our faith, compassion, and faith.
Before responding to her ministerial calling, Pastor Ivelisse worked as a Financial Analyst, later transitioning into Social Work within the State of Florida, and New Jersey. She began her pastoral ministry in 2012 while in Seminary, within the Greater New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church. In 2014, Pastor Ivelisse accepted an appointment in the California Pacific Conference of the United Methodist Church, to serve as the pastor for Shandon United Methodist Church, and First United Methodist Church of Paso Robles.
Pastor Ivelisse enjoys living in the Central Coast, and all that it has to offer. She is the proud mother of her two adult sons, Nathan, and Taylor.
